Municipal Council recently committed itself to updating its Strategic Plan. A consultation process was initiated in which Municipal Council members, staff, community organizations and the public were asked to identify their wants and needs. These would then be used to establish guidelines for a community-based plan for the municipality for future years. This Strategic Plan identifies the strategic pillars and priorities Municipal Council must focus on to further the municipality’s development over the coming years. For more information, see our Strategic Plan.

The Memramcook Green Plan is a strategic document that is both detailed and practical. It is a component part of the vision for a sustainable environmentally friendly future and establishes ecological principles and criteria that will help guide decision-making for all municipal activities. Memramcook’s Green Plan will:

1) reduce the municipality’s environmental footprint;
2) help protect the area’s environmental assets; and
3) allow the municipality to save money by reducing energy consumption and lowering impacts on municipal infrastructures.
