Institut de Memramcook.jpg

Following the provincial government capital budget announcement, the Village de Memramcook and the Comité Place du Vieux Collège were very disappointed and frustrated to learn of the cuts of several planned projects, particularly the renovation and restoration projects at the former Memramcook Institute. Mr. Higgs is clearly breaking its own electoral promise of bringing this project to term.

We have fought for many years to save our historic building and finally a victory on February 6, 2017 when the government announced a 25M$ investment over the course of the next 4 years – a true victory for the community and its heritage. A year and a half of renovations, several million dollars invested, long term planning and hope all to be deceived once again by the government that had put the lock on the building a few years back. Totally inaceptable!

Be reassured your Municipal Council and the Comité Place du Vieux Collège are actively working at seeing that the government completes this important project promised since 2017.
The Village de Memramcook invites you to get into the Christmas Spirit and to send us a photo of your 2018 Gingerbread House!

Causeries du mardi • Phyllis E. LeBlanc & Christine Dupuis
The ''Causeries du mardi 2020'' will take place from July 7 to August 25 at 7 p.m.via the Monument-Lefebvre Facebook Page.
